Acton Park

The Jones family were Welsh migrants from Cwmfelinfach ( “meaning valley of the little mill” ) who settled in Group Settlement No 28, Acton Park, in the Busselton area.

Father Fred Jones was involved in numerous organizations one being the local soccer club of Acton Park, his two sons Wilfred and Rowland played for the club.

At the 1933 Hart Cup which was donated by Mrs Hart of the Vasse Hotel, the Acton Park team were triumphant beating all comers of the region, Wilf Jones was the highest goal scorer of these cup games.

Wilf Jones was inducted into the SW Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004.
