CMI Busselton City was forced to play catch up soccer throughout their encounter with Eaton Dardanup before going down 3-2. Some defensive indecision early in the first half by the locals resulted in being two goals down after 30 minutes, However they got back in the reckoning just prior to half time through the efforts of midfielder Jayden Mangion who scored from close range.
In the second spell Busselton struggled at times with the physicality of Eaton Dardanup who scored from a corner before the mercurial Martin Ryan finished with a consolation goal late in the match. Busselton’s best was teenage right back Huie O’Halloran who impressed with his ability to win the ball then provide width in attack with his overlapping runs.
