CMI Busselton City coach Tristen Carroll is a firm believer that “if you don’t take your chances, you don’t deserve to win” and this was certainly the case when his side met Bunbury Dynamos on Sunday.
A win over Dynamos would have been a big step in the right direction for the locals as these two sides meet again in the South West Cup final next month.
The game started positively with both sides prepared to play the ball out from defensive situations. But in the end it was a frustrating afternoon for Busselton City who dominated play for long periods but were unable to find the back of the net.
At  0-0 with 5 minutes to play, Busselton  were throwing everything at Dynamos in search of the deciding goal with Corbyn Wilson and Mike Newell going close to scoring.
However it was Dynamos who hit on the counter attack with midfielder Jack Menzies lashing home a 20 metre drive which flew past Busselton keeper Jesse Gunnis to give his side the three points.
