Collie team Wisla who were mostly Polish migrants have the record for the most consecutive league titles at fourteen. The Collie League was the only soccer league of the 1950’s and 1960’s in our SW region. Although Bunbury had a short lived league from 1954 to 1957.
There is a town in Poland named Wisla but I think the club name came from the river Wisla in Warsaw also known as the Vistula and on the Collie teams blazer that some players had, was the Mermaid of Warsaw which was the towns emblem..
